Former Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo believes his old team-mate Roberto Di Matteo would be a popular choice among fans as fulltime manager.
Norwegian Flo played with Di Matteo at Chelsea during the late 1990s and also played under him during a stint at MK Dons from November 2008 to May 2009.
Flo believes Di Matteo is doing a really good job as stand-in manager of Chelsea and says the former Italy international midfielder would keep the fans happy if he was given the job permanently.
The supporters would like it, Flo said.
I think he would take the job. I think also that a lot of people would like him to do that. It would be very welcome among the fans.
Saying that, it s not an easy job to take over Chelsea.
It s a club that demands results straight away.
All the players at Chelsea are big superstars, but if somebody can do it then I think Roberto can.
Flo emphasised his former teammate s man-management skills as a real strength.
He s got good qualities as a manager, Flo said.
He is not a coach who screams and shouts, he is quite calm.
Since he was such a good player he knows how players think.
He (knows) what to say to players to get them to do the right thing.
